Maurice "Bud" Marshall, 91, of Palm Bay, FL, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 13, 2024. Bud was born on October 19, 1932, in Springfield, IL, to Bertha (Tuczkus) Marshall and Maurice Marshall, Sr. He attended Fairview High School in Cleveland, OH where he graduated in 1950. In the fall of 1950, Bud entered Northwestern University in Evanston, IL, initially enrolled as a pre-law student, but later changing to pre-dental. It was at Northwestern where he met his first wife, Marjorie Eldred, and they were married in June of 1954 shortly after Bud graduated. In the fall of 1954, Bud started Dental School at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, OH and graduated with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1958.
Bud opened a dental office in Rocky River, OH in 1958 before moving to Bainbridge, NY in 1960 to join the practice of Lloyd Johnson, DDS. In 1965, Bud went into practice by himself and opened a new dental office at 49 North Main Street in Bainbridge where he practiced until retiring in 1991. Bud was a member of the Bainbridge Rotary Club, was involved with the Chamber of Commerce, served on the Bainbridge-Guilford School Board from 1968 to 1977, and still found time to play a lot of tennis. In 1978, Bud married his second wife, Barbara (Binning) Hunt Marshall. In 1993, Bud and Barbara permanently relocated to Melbourne Beach, FL where Bud lived until 2021 when he moved to the Glenbrooke Assisted Living Home in Palm Bay, FL.
Bud is survived by two children: son K.R. (Sally) Marshall and daughter Jenny (Mark) Thompson; three stepchildren: Robin (Joe) Maltese, Peter (Tracy) Hunt and Tracey (Steve) Steffek; 8 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; and one brother David (Mary Ann) Marshall. Bud was predeceased by his parents, first wife, Marjorie Eldred Bossler, and second wife, Barbara Binning Marshall.
Burial will be at the Greenlawn Cemetery in Bainbridge at the family's convenience.
