Winifred Wlasiuk passed away peacefully at home in Colorado on March 15, 2024. She was born on March 27, 1940 to Lynn and Mary Olmsted of Sidney Center.

She graduated from Sidney Central School in 1959. She married Dimitri “Mitch” Wlasiuk of December 31, 1960. They shared 52 years of marriage before he predeceased her on April 20, 2013.

Winifred loved her family and was loved by her family. She was active in church, especially the Trout Creek Church, and loved to sing. She was beautiful inside and out.

She is survived by her son, James (Michelle) Wlasiuk; daughter, Sherry (Kevin) Terry; three grandchildren: Cain (Cassie) Wlasiuk, Ariel Terry and Alex Terry; three great-grandchildren: Caiden, Gage and Leum Wlasiuk; two brothers, Ray Olmsted and Neil Olmsted; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her parents, Lynn and Mary Olmsted and Austin Olmsted, Celia Olmsted and John Wlasiuk.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in her memory may be directed to the Trout Creek Church.

A memorial service will be held August 10, 2024 at 1:00pm at the Trout Creek Community Church.

A luncheon will follow at the Trout Creek Fire Department (please bring a dish to pass).
