Obituary of Carole S. Beach

Carole Suzanne Beach, 76, of Bainbridge, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, February 10, 2024 at Bassett Medical Center in Cooperstown. Carole was born on October 15, 1947 in Binghamton, NY, daughter of the late Clyde and Evelyn (Hamel) Conrow. She graduated from Sidney High School with the Class of 1965. She attended the University of Buffalo and in 1992, received her bachelor's degree in history from Syracuse University. On July 3, 1993, she was married to Gary Beach, sharing many happy years together. Carole loved playing Bingo at the Sidney Elks Lodge or Turning Stone Casino. She enjoyed crafts like painting, sewing and quilting, and adored her cats. She loved anything John Wayne, Syracuse University Football and Basketball, and her standing 11:15 chiropractor appointment. She was involved in her community with the Bainbridge Fire Dept. Auxilliary, Bainbridge Historical Society and the Sidney Library. She was also a member of Mensa and a lifetime member of the NRA. One of Carole's greatest passions, though, was history. She loved archaeology and genealogy; her pursuit of finding ancestors that served during the American Revolution eventually led her to become a lifetime member of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution, which was her heart and soul. She was a member of the Colonial Dames and the Heritage Foundation. Particularly passionate about Native American history, Carole was a dedicated supporter of St. Joseph's Indian School. She will be dearly missed by her husband of 30 years, Gary Beach; daughters, Teresa (Robert) Burnett and Ginger (Eric) Wagner; son, Mark Brewer; grandchildren: Brittney Jordan, Robbie Burnett and Alexander Wagner; sisters, Diane (Jerry) Frappier and Judy Bernhardt; nieces and nephew: Chrissy, Kimberly, Matthew, Angela and Amy; and dearest friends, Margaret Shavalier and Carol Roberts. Friends are invited to call from 1:00-3:00pm on Saturday, February 17, 2024 at C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel, 21 Main St. Sidney, NY 13838. Funeral services will begin at 3:00pm at the funeral chapel. Burial will take place in the spring in North Guilford Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Carole's memory may be directed to the Chenango SPCA, 6160 County Road 32, Norwich, NY 13815.
