Obituary of Bernice T. Caffery

Bernice T. Caffery Bainbridge, NY Bernice "Bernie" T. Caffery 78 of Bainbridge passed away Thursday, December 2, 2010 at her home. She was born August 27, 1932 daughter of the late Maurice and Pauline (Beach) Tillapaugh in Sidney. Bernie married Lester Allen Caffery, Jr. on October 4, 1952 in Binghamton. He predeceased her on April 19, 2006. Bernie loved crafts and would say "I have to keep my hands busy". Her family benefited from her crafts and she donated many hats, mittens, scarves and blankets she made to the homeless. She is survived by: 2 Sons - Donald A. Caffery, Afton Robert Caffery and his wife Portia, Afton 2 Daughters - Gail Vermilyea and her husband Allen, Bainbridge Joyce Johnson, Bainbridge Grandchildren - Kricket, Bambi and Jason Caffery Pamela Jones, Amanda Conklin David and Michelle Vermilyea Allen Johnson RaeAnn Curtis 8 Great Grandchildren Several nieces and nephews She was also predeceased by Grandson Chance Caffery and 2 Brothers Warren and Ernest Tillapaugh. Services are private and at the convenience of the family.
