SIDNEY--Nancy L. Peck, a beautiful, kind soul, gained her wings on Sunday, December 10, 2023 with her family by her side after a long and emotional battle against her liver. She was 59 years old.
Nancy was born on June 5, 1964 to Thelma and Kenneth Alger, later gaining a second mom and dad in Pat and Floyd Howard. Nancy was the baby of 2 brothers and 5 sisters. On April 19, 1986, Nancy married her forever love, Gregory K. Peck, Sr., where they survived 37 years of marriage. They created a beautiful family of stepdaughter, Tammy (Mike) Honeycutt, son, Greggy (Kayla) Peck, daughter, Nadine (Jeff) Halbert, and son, Geoff (Wendy) Peck. Nancy loved all 7 of her grandchildren: Casey and Caitlyn Honeycutt, Spencer and Makenzie Peck, Madison and Johnathon Halbert and Brayden Eastman.
Nancy spent her life volunteering for her community. She was well known as a Cubmaster and her dedication to the Scouts, president of the Sidney Fire Dept. Auxiliary for many years, Auxiliary Member and current President of the Sidney Elks, a member of the Unadilla Fire Dept. Auxiliary, and a member of the Central NY Fireman's Association and LAFASNY. Nancy touched many children's lives working at Bainbridge Guilford Central School District; this year she missed receiving her 20 years of service. She was also a former volunteer with Operation Merry Christmas.
Nancy enjoyed helping people, camping and most importantly spending time with her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by so many.
The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to the doctors and staff of Penn State Health Hershey Medical Center, Surgical ICU Unit 2, for all their care and compassion during Nancy's stay.
