COVENTRYVILLE - Judith R. Fletcher, 83, of Coventryville, passed peacefully on Tuesday morning, Oct. 10, 2023, at Wilson Medical Center in Johnson City. Judy was born Sept. 3, 1940, in Afton, to the late Nelson and Katherine Robinson. She was predeceased by her daughter, LeAnn Wilson. Survivors include her husband of 64 years, Harvey Fletcher; siblings David Robinson, Sylvia Constable, Robert Robinson and Donna Brown; sons, Brian Fletcher and Joel Fletcher; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Judy was a talented fabric artist working from her home studio in Coventryville. She traveled the Northeast attending juried craft shows to exhibit her line of women's clothing and other handmade items. Judy was also an accomplished quilter and a member of several local quilting guilds. The heirloom quilts she rescued and family quilts she created will be treasured for generations As an avid traveler, Judy and her husband vacationed throughout the American Southwest. Cruise ship adventures taking them to Hawaii, Alaska, the Caribbean and Australia and New Zealand were her joy. She was also a loyal fan of the NY Yankees and loved attending baseball games at Yankee Stadium. Bluegrass festivals were her favorite summer destinations. Judy's favorite time of year was spring. A memorial gathering to honor her will be held on Saturday, May 4, 2024 at 2:00pm at the Coventryville Congregational Church. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Coventryville Congregational Church or a charity of one's choice.
