UNADILLA - Larry Ryan, 79, of Unadilla, was called home to be in the arms of our Lord on Wednesday, Aug. 23, 2023. Larry passed peacefully at the Oxford Veterans Home. He was born on Oct. 22, 1943 to Garland and Gertrude (Reynolds) Ryan in Unadilla.

Survivors include his sisters Bonnie and John Lewis, Cindy and Jim Palmer, Patty and late husband Nick Cornell; his children Timmy and Gina Hoffman, Patty (Hoffman) and Dale Prentice, Jeff Ryan, Randy and Billie Ryan, Amy Ryan; as well as many nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Larry is predeceased by his loving parents and his brothers Leland and Jackie.

Larry will be remembered as a loving and devoted father who most enjoyed carpentry, hunting, trap shooting and fishing. He leaves his sons behind with the love, the knowledge and the skills he was so passionate about. He will be deeply missed by his friends, family and all who were blessed to know him.

A celebration of his life will be held in his honor at the Unadilla Rod and Gun Club beginning at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 16th.
