Please share a memory of John to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
John H. Lee 54 of Bainbridge, born in Norwich NY on March 11, 1969, passed away on August 11, 2023, at Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, NY after a brief fight with cancer.
Calling hours will take place on September 1, 2023, at C.H. Landers Funeral Home 21 Main St. Sidney NY from 1pm – 3pm. A short service will follow at 3:00 pm presided over by Pastor Paul Winkelman.
John was a graduate of Bainbridge-Guilford High school in 1987. After a brief college career, John found he was best suited for the work force. His favorite employment involved working in construction materials first with Archer Building Centers and ending with Bellevue Builders Supply. He enjoyed being able to help people take their dreams from paper to reality. At the time of his passing, he worked for Drogen Electric Supply, working closely with his best friend/brother/cousin Chris and his sons Christopher and Collin Puerile. In his spare time, John was an avid deer and turkey hunter, along with being a passionate fisherman. He really enjoyed his hunting and fishing trips "up North" with lifelong friends, you know who you are, as well as friends he collected over all the years. He had a great ability to remember details from his childhood and could tell stories of past exploits to a tee. In September of 2019, he found his soulmate and married the love of his life, Carin, in a small idyllic ceremony.
John is pre-deceased by his father Douglas Lee and Uncle James (Pat) Puerile. He is survived by his wife, Carin Lee, daughter Kayla Millett (Matthew), grandson Gannon Millett, Mother Grace Lee (Puerile), brother Keith "Gil" Lee (Naomi), sister Kathy "Sis" Lord (Jim), sister Annie Henry (Sean), as well as many beloved aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
His wife would like to thank the nurses and all supporting staff of the 3rd floor at Bassett hospital for the kindness and care they provided John in his final days. A special thanks to Pastor Paul for his help and support in John's last hours and to Jeff Bagley for his kind and professional handling of getting John home.
John preferred to not receive flowers so with that in mind, please direct donations in his name to the Delaware Valley Humane Society PO Box 182 Sidney, NY13838
