Goldie C. Van Pelt Sidney, NY Goldie C. Van Pelt, of Sidney, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 9, 2010 at Wilson Regional Medical Center in Johnson City. Goldie was born on March 16, 1922, daughter of the late Martin and Anna Wago in Connecticut. On December 22, 1940, she married Wilford N. Van Pelt in Oneonta and they moved to Sidney soon after. He predeceased her on April 2, 1986. Goldie was a long time employee at Amphenol Corp, working as an inspector. She was also a former member of the B.P.O.E. Ladies Auxiliary of Sidney. She is survived by: Her only son, David Van Pelt, and his companion, Joanna Christopher of Deposit 4 granddaughters, 9 great grandchildren and 9 great-great grandchildren Sister, Olga Stronigan of Sun City West, AZ Nieces and nephews, and dear friends Bonnie, Grace, Kay and Clare In addition to her husband, Goldie was predeceased by three sisters: Mae, Viola and Helen, and one brother, Martin. Friends are invited to call from 6:00-8:00pm on Friday, November 12, 2010 at C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel, 21 Main St. Sidney. Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday, November 13 at the funeral chapel with Fr. Gordon Polenz officiating. Burial will follow at Prospect Hill Cemetery, Sidney. Memorial contributions in Goldie's name may be directed to the American Cancer Society, South NY Region, 5 Oak Ave. Sidney, NY 13838. Expressions of sympathy may be sent to the family online at www.landersfh.com. Arrangements under the direction of C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel, 21 Main St. Sidney.
