Joseph L. Schalk, 82, of Masonville, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 24, 2023 at his home with his family.

He was born on February 11, 1941 in Brooklyn, son of the late Harold and Bertha (Kupat) Schalk.

He is survived by 5 daughters: Deborah and Joseph Pasquale, Veronica and Ralph Peck Jr., Theresa Schalk, Cathy and Richard Shanahan and Tina Campbell; son, Daniel and Donna Schalk; 19 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Joe was predeceased by his wife, Veronica, and son, Joseph Schalk.

Friends may call 5:00-7:00pm on Wednesday, May 31, 2023 at C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel, 21 Main St. Sidney. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00am on Thursday, June 1st at Sacred Heart Church, 15 Liberty St. Sidney. Burial will follow in Masonville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Joe's memory may be made to Sacred Heart Parish, or to Helios Care Hospice.
