James L. Miller, 73, passed away on Thursday, April 27, 2023 at Delhi Rehabilitation & Nursing Center. Jim was born on July 1, 1949 in Ypsilanti, Michigan, son of James E. and Mary (Lambert) Miller. He graduated from Sidney High School with the Class of 1968. Following graduation, Jim entered the Navy and proudly served until his honorable discharge in 1972. He went on to receive his master's degree in computer engineering. He spent his career specializing in the design and implementation of ticketing systems for subway and metro systems traveling across the world, including New York, San Diego, Washington DC, Berlin and Bangkok. Jim is survived by his siblings: Dianne (Gordy) Robillard, Julie (Dale) Furman and Michael Miller; spouse, Jennifer; four children: Chaun (wife Carole), James, Andrew and Matthew; two stepchildren: Alicia and Katie; as well as grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends may call from 11am to 12:00noon on May 20, 2023 at C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel, 21 Main St. Sidney, NY 13838. Burial with military honors will begin at 12:30pm in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Sidney. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to the Alzheimer's Association at www.alz.org, or to the American Heart Association at www.heart.org.
