William Alan Schoonmaker, also known as Willie and Willie-Fresh, was born on January 13th, 1985, and went to be with his favorite angels on March 8th, 2023. He was born in New Bedford, MA and moved to Bainbridge with his mother when he was six months old. He was raised in Bainbridge attending Bainbridge-Guilford Schools. Upon graduation from BG, he attended college in Oswego and North Carolina. He is survived by his daughter- Lorelai; his sisters- Ashlee, Jolynn, and Rebecca; aunts- Wendy Laurie & Judy (& Rich); uncles- Manny & Bill; as well as many cousins. He was predeceased by his mother Patty Wlasiuk; grandmother Joyce Cardozo; and great grandma 'GG' Florence Rosa.

Despite having a difficult childhood, he was a ray of sunshine to many people- always having a smile or well wish for everyone he knew. Recently, Willie had discovered that he wanted to help others. Utilizing his experiences, he became a certified Addiction Counselor.

A graveside service will be held at the cemetery in Franklin, NY on May 27, 2023, at 11 o'clock am followed by a celebration of Willie's life at Jerrys Inn in Bainbridge NY at 1 o'clock.
