Mt. Upton-- Floyd I. Spencer, 80, passed away on April 1, 2023. He was born on March 16, 1943 in Rockdale, NY, son of the late Bernace and Virginia (Roe) Spencer. He was married to Beatrice Hartwell on April 11, 1964. Floyd worked at Unalam in Sidney for over 50 years, retiring as a supervisor. He enjoyed golfing and woodworking and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He also loved camping for many years. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Beatrice Spencer; daughter, Vicki and Kelly Czapnik; son, Ken Spencer and Theresa Corey; four grandchildren: Dustin Steffen, Corey Steffen, Kayla (Greg) Peck and Alexis Spencer; great grandchildren: Emily, Spencer, Makenzie and Carter; siblings: Evelyn (Melvin) Sutton, Gary Spencer and Beverly Rowe; as well as several nieces and nephews. Friends may call from 11:00am-1:00pm on Wednesday, April 5, 2023 at C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel, 21 Main St. Sidney. Funeral services will begin at 1:00pm at the funeral chapel, with burial immediately following in Maplewood Cemetery, Mt. Upton. Share condolences and memories online at www.landersfh.com.
