Helen Myers Mulkins passed away on March 30, 2023. Helen was born to George and Edith Myers in Bainbridge on January 24th, 1931. She graduated from Bainbridge High School and Broome Technical Community College as a Medical Technician, where she met George. They married in 1952 and settled in Bainbridge where they raised 4 daughters. George and Helen eventually moved to Florida for George's job and then retired there. Married for 62 years, they enjoyed their family, friends and travel. As a couple they explored the US and over 30 countries by plane, train, automobile, motor coach and cruise ship. Helen was predeceased by George (2015). She is survived by her daughters – Lois (David) Shelton, Barbara (Wilfried) Spalholz, Ruth (Peter) Domago and Patti MacCheyne, 5 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Visiting hours will be held at C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel, Sidney on April 10th, from 4-7 PM concluding with an OES service at 6:45 PM. A celebration of life will be held on April 11th at the North Afton Church,121 County Route 17, Afton at 11 AM. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to one of Helen's favorite charities: American Diabetes Association, National MS Society, and American Cancer Society.
