Steven W. McLain Sidney Center, NY Steven W. McLain, formerly known as Kevin L. Ellis, died October 7, 2010 unexpectedly at his home at the age of 46. He is survived by: His fiance, Renee Spatafora and her two children, Sharie Webster and Reece Spatafora of Sidney Center His two sons, Steven McLain and Mason McLain of Carnegie, PA. He was born to parents Donald J. Ellis, Sr. and Bertel P. Ellis, and is survived by foster parent Charlotte McLain of Sebring, FL. He is also survived by Four brothers: Donald Ellis and his wife, Terry of Hancock, Randy Ellis and Christine Kerrigan of Mashpee, MA, Timothy Ellis and his wife, Daphanie of Honesdale, PA, and Barry Ellis of Sidney Two sisters, Dawn and husband, Kirk Finch of Davenport Center and Elaine Reynolds of East Branch, NY Two sisters-in-law, Linda Ellis of Dryden and Hanah Ellis of El Paso, TX Two foster sisters, Sabrina Knapp and her husband, Randy of Mt. Vision and Jesse Thorsland and her husband, Eric of Maryland, NY Foster brother, Scott McLain of Texas As well as many nieces and nephews. Steve was predeceased by four brothers: Darwin, Clarence, Loren and Dennis Ellis. Steven was a loving and devoted father and fianc. He loved sports: he was a diehard fan of Pittsburgh Steelers football, Syracuse University basketball and Red Sox baseball. He had a great love of hunting and fishing, as well as operating heavy equipment. He was a true friend to all that knew him and will be greatly missed. Funeral services for Steve were held at 3:00pm on Sunday, October 10th at C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel in Sidney. Expressions of sympathy may be sent to the family online at www.landersfh.com.
