Thank you Joe for making our stay in The Villages special for both of us for five wonderful years. We had so much fun as a couple and as pickleball and golf buddies. You inspired me to be a better man and athlete. You will be greatly missed. Thanks for the memories. Love, Steve and Liz Illes

Joe, It was my honor to know you. You always made me feel like a son. Bless you and Mary for bringing my beloved Gabrielle into this world. Your kindness, caring heart and strength live on in Gabrielle as does her love for you. You always made me feel like family and I treasure the last time I was at your home with you and Mary. You and I spent long hours sitting outside and talking together in the back of your home. I had such a great time talking with you about all the Hungarian fighters I boxed with, refereed. Your stories about the great Lazlo Papp fascinated me and I had such fun being with you. I listened with awe and respect of what you and Mary endured in Hungary and how you fought back. You remain one of the most honorable strong and decent men I have ever known. The long distance between our two homes was so very hard to deal with due to medical issues so I hold dear all the times we spoke on the phone. It always felt so easy to talk to you about life, your wisdom, experience and intelligence were a blessing to me. It is easy to see how much you are loved by Mary and all your children and grandchildren. Gabrielle talked about you with such love and respect every day of our 23 years together. I pray that we can see you again in Heaven and that the Lord eases the grief for all who love you. Blessings and thanks for being like a second Dad to me, Love, Ron

The heartache of missing you Daddy will always be with me. You were always the most loving Father a daughter could ever hope for. You were always the most kind, understanding and gentle Father to all of us while being a great man of strength and respect.
