Obituary of Pamela G. Kent

Albany, NY -- Pamela G. Kent, 63 of Guilford passed away on December 1, 2022 with her family by her side after a brief battle with cancer. Pam was born on April 20, 1959 to Glenn and Dorothy Albro in Suffern, NY. Pam is survived by her husband Gary Kent, son Chet Kent (wife Lori), daughter Candice Brown (husband Tim); Grandchildren Molly, Ella, Lily, Everett, and Paisley; brothers Gordon and Butch Albro; sisters Sandra Albro and Linda Piper, along with many nieces and nephews. The family would also like to recognize how important Michele Hoffman and her daughter Britney were in Pam's life. Starting at an early age she showed a great love for animals, especially horses. This continued throughout her life. Some of her favorite time was spent on her horse farm where she raised and trained many horses. She enjoyed sharing her love and knowledge with anyone that came to visit. She spent many years working in the veterinary profession, as well as an animal shelter, the Binghamton Zoo, and volunteering for animal charity organizations. She also worked at the family owned, Kent's Ben Franklin in Sidney, NY where she enjoyed years of building many relationships with the local community. Pam was a member of the Guilford emergency squad for several years. She was also active in the Local girl and boy scout troops. She enjoyed being an active member of the Guilford United Methodist Church as well. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren who meant the world to her and they felt the same about her. Calling hours will be January 14, 2023 from 11:00am to 1:00 pm at CH Landers Funeral Chapel 21 Main St. Sidney, NY, a memorial service will follow at 1:00pm.
