Lester L. "Duke" Leizear, Jr., 90, of Mt. Upton, passed away on Saturday, November 12, 2022 at his home. Duke was born on December 12, 1931 in Hyattsville, MD, son of the late Lester, Sr. and Margarietta (Bennett) Leizear.
Duke worked for Scintilla in Sidney and retired from Norwich Shoe Company. After retirement, he later worked for Franklin Tractor and the Town of Unadilla.
In 1977, he was married to Connie (Pecor) Ryan; sharing 45 years of marriage. In addition to his wife, Duke is survived by 10 children and stepchildren, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; two sisters, Marjorie and Florence, as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by five children and stepchildren: Thomas, Shirley, David, Vickie and Donna; as well as two sisters and a brother.
