Obituary of Dorothy Ann Utter

Dorothy Ann "Dottie" Utter, 78, of Unadilla, passed away on Thursday, August 18, 2022. Dottie was born on September 6, 1943 in Denver, CO daughter of the late Franklin and Barbara (Noack) Golladay. On May 21, 1960, she was married to Clyde L. Utter in Mt. Upton, NY, sharing 62 happy years together. Dottie enjoyed reading and round dancing. She loved cats and often helped in fosters and rescues. A natural caregiver, she was always taking care of people and found joy in helping friends and family. She was also a member of the Women of the Moose, Sidney. In addition to her beloved husband Clyde, she is survived by: her daughter and son-in-law, Karen Utter and Steve Woolbaugh; son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Mary Utter; 3 grandchildren: Heather Prince, Katrina Firmstone and Clayton Utter; 5 great-grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Lynn and Ted Schlote; in-laws: Lois McConnell, Joyce and Bake Norris, Marlene Utter and Dale and Tina Utter; as well as several nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews, and many friends. Friends may call from 10:00-11:00am on Thursday, August 25, 2022 at C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel, 21 Main St. Sidney. Memorial services will begin at 11:00am at the funeral chapel, with burial to follow in Maplewood Cemetery, Mt. Upton. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in her memory may be directed to an animal rescue, the American Cancer Society, or the Sidney Moose Lodge.
