Obituary of Charles David LaFave

Beloved husband and father Charles LaFave, 80, of Sidney, New York, passed away on Wednesday May 11th, 2022 at 5:15 PM.
Born in Cohoes, to Ellis and Yvonne LaFave, he graduated from Heatley High School and Hudson Valley Community College in Troy. After many years traveling with Honeywell as a Quality Control Analyst, he retired in Sidney in 2002. He enjoyed Thursday coffee get-togethers with his closest friends, Vic, Jim, Wayne and Jim, and once a week, he enjoyed going to the Community Lounge with his many friends there.
Chuck is survived by his wife of 50 years, Marge, and his sons, who were his pride and joy, William (Siobhan) LaFave of Troy and Joseph LaFave of Binghamton. He is also survived by his siblings, Sharon (John, deceased) Burns, Robert (Olga) LaFave, both of The Villages, FL, Lawrence (Mary) LaFave of Downingtown, PA, and brother-in-law Jerry Bissell of Cohoes, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
He is pre-deceased by his two is sisters, Beverly Bissell and Marylin Berlyn, as well as his granddaughter Zoe Katherine. Chuck will be dearly missed by all of his family, his friends and his cats.
We know you will Rest In Peace, Chuck.
Friends may call on Tuesday May 24th from 3-5pm at CH Landers Funeral Chapel 21 Main Street, Sidney.
A Mass at Sacred Heart Church 15 Liberty Street will be held on Wednesday May 25th at 10:30am.
Due to Covid restrictions, there will be a celebration of his happy life at a later date.
