Obituary of Thomas G. Falk

Thomas G. Falk of Otego, NY passed away suddenly on May 8, 2022 at the age of 59, due to complications of Covid. Tom graduated from Clinton Central School in 1980 before embarking on a career in the newspaper industry which began at The Observer Dispatch in Utica, NY, followed by The Herald Dispatch in Huntington, WV, and concluding with The Daily Star in Oneonta, NY. Following this, he put his sales expertise to good use at Casella Waste Systems, followed by Mirabito Energy Products, where he worked up until his death. Tom had a great love of sports, playing baseball in his younger years and was always an avid golfer. He enjoyed gardening and always looked forward to his family's annual vacation in Ocean City, MD. He will always be remembered for his infectious laugh, great sense of humor, love of music trivia, and always putting his family before himself. Tom is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Linda Falk, of Otego, NY, and their four children, Jennifer O'Hara [Michael Figler], Joseph Falk, Kathleen [Burnett] Zeh, Jeffrey [Catherine] Falk, and his two beloved granddaughters, Isabella and Sophia Zeh. He is also survived by his mother, Joan Falk, and sisters, Donna [Richard] Burkowicz, Beth [John] Meagher and Nancy [Robert] McQueen, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, G. Howard Falk, and his sisters, Maureen Falk and Mary Dowling. Services will take place on Friday, May 20, 2022 at C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel, 21 Main St., Sidney, NY 13838 with calling hours from 11:00am to 1:00pm and a service to follow at 1:00pm. Share condolences with the family online at www.landersfh.com.
