Mary Martha Patricia (McMurray) Palmer, 76, of Unadilla, passed away on April 1, 2022, at her home. On April 21, 1945, she was born in Brooklyn, NY, and won a beauty contest at 16 years old. In college, she carried a 4.0 average. She worked a variety of jobs, including Catholic Charities, Bendix, Mediation Accord, Camp Brace, and Keith Clark. She also taught ceramics, was an Avon Dealer and a Notary, was a BCU Mediator graduate, a Boy Scout Den Mother, and Girl Scout Leader. She enjoyed painting, crafts, working outside in her garden, and sewing. Mary had a compassionate spirit and was willing to help anyone in need. She is survived by: Children: Tina Marie Bryden of Hancock, Theresa Baker of Bainbridge, Joshua Palmer (Kilee) of Unadilla, Grandchildren: Jennifer Knapp, Tammie Barriger, Brenda Manwarren, Kristin Manwarren, Jana Palmer, Justice Palmer, Kaydence Palmer, Great-Grandchildren: Steven Steele, Patrick Barkman, Trenton Barriger, Sawyer Barriger, Jaylea Nack, Sebastian Miller, Caiden Wright, Braylee Stafford, Colton Barriger, Nichole Barriger, Remington Barkman, Aaron Barkman. Mary was predeceased by her father, William McMurray, her mother and stepfather, Mary and Frederick Cleveland, and her granddaughter, Christina Marie Knapp. A Celebration of Life will be held at Martin Brook Park in Unadilla on June 4, 2022, from 12:00-5:00 pm. Please join us as we share memories of our mother.
