Obituary of Josephine R. Butler

Josephine R. Butler Sidney, NY Josephine R. Butler, 87 of Sidney, passed away on Saturday, September 11, 2010 at Roscoe Community Nursing Home and Adult Health Care Center, Roscoe, where she was a resident. Josephine was born November 11, 1922, daughter of the late Frank and Catherine Rich in Ilion, NY. Josephine was a graduate of Ilion High School and Albany Business College. She was a former employee of Scintilla in Sidney, Bassett Hospital in Cooperstown, and was a greeter at Walmart. Josephine was a member of the American Legion and VFW Women's Auxiliaries. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Jeffrey and Shirley Butler of Afton; her daughter and son-in-law, Diana and Steve Wyatt of California; 5 grandchildren: Frank, Cheryl and Lisa Butler and Jeremiah and Joshua Mehler; and 2 great grandchildren: Morgan Butler and Josephine E. Butler. Josephine was predeceased by her husband, Frederick G. Butler, and two sons, Frank Butler and Frederick Butler, Jr. A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
