Obituary of Dora M. Sand

Dora M. (Smith) Sand, 83 of Sidney entered into rest peacefully Monday April 11, 2022 at AO Fox Hospital in Oneonta. Dora was born February 28, 1939 in Deposit. She was the daughter of the late Charles and Flossie Smith. In Dora's first marriage with Howard Moore they gave birth to their children, David, James and Joseph Moore. In June of 1980 Dora married Leo Sand, that marriage brought step daughter, Cindy (Sand) Page. Dora will be remembered by those who knew her as a loving mother, grandmother and friend. She enjoyed drawing, painting, any board or card game and cooking. Dora's true passion s were being outdoors, hunting, spending time camping and fishing at Seneca Lake with her husband, Leo. Dora is survived by her two sons - James and Kelly Moore, Unadilla Joseph and Sharon (Crisell) Moore, Sidney Step daughter, Cindy and Bob Page, Guilford Grandsons, Jonathan and Ashley Moore, South Kortright, David Moore Jr. , Florida, Joseph Moore Jr., Carolina, Ricky and Matt Page, Guilford, Dustin Condon, Sidney Granddaughter, Brittany and Zach Diehl, Cobleskill Fifteen great grand children, several nieces and nephews. Her loving kitty, Mimi Dora was also predeceased by her Husband, Leo Sand, Son, David Moore, Sr., Granddaughter, Jessica Moore and Grandson, Steven Moore. Dora's family finds comfort in knowing that after a trying three week struggle, she is finally at peace and reunited with loved ones above. As per Dora's wishes there will be no calling hours of funeral services. There will be a Celebration of life event held for Dora at a later date and time. Dora's family will make it known in advance so all can attend.
