Zilphia (Zippy) Tobey Furman 86 of Bainbridge, NY passed into heaven after a brief illness with her family by her side. She was born on January 4, 1936. Zippy graduated from Bainbridge High School and lived in Bainbridge for most of her life. She retired from Amphenol Corporation. Zippy enjoyed traveling, quilting, square dancing, her church and most of all her family and her friends. She is predeceased by her parents, Herbert and Zilphia Sutton, her high school sweetheart and second husband Ervin Tobey, beloved daughter Katherine Brennescholtz, son in-law James Duell, sister and brother in-law Elva and William Hunt, her sisters Marion Lee, Carolyn Crane, and brothers Herbert Sutton Jr. and Steven Sutton. Zippy is survived by her daughter and son in-law Deborah and Timothy Fort of Phoenix, Az, daughter and son in-law Patricia and John Morgan of Warrensburg, NY, son in-law Mike Brennesholtz of Daytona Beach, Fl, daughter Bonnie Duell of Palm Bay, Fl, son Allen Gascon of Palm Bay, Fl, brother and sister in-law Melvin and Evelyn Sutton, brother in-law William Crane, sister in-law Sharon Sutton, brother George Sutton and brother and sister in-law Gary and Sarah Sutton. Zippy is also survived by many grandchildren, nieces and nephews whom she adored. She truly will be missed by all. Services will be held at the First Baptist Church in Bainbridge, NY on May 16 2022 with calling hours from 11:00am to 1:00pm and a funeral starting at 1:00 p.m. by Reverend John Helgeson and Reverend Wendy Depew-Patelow. Interment will follow in the Greenlawn Cemetery, Bainbridge.
