Aunt Elma was a wonderful Matriarch of her family. As a niece, I have many great memories of her. She was a devout Christian. She had a beautiful voice, singing in the church choir, as did Uncle Bert. She was always welcoming for a visit. As a very little girl, I watched the wizard of oz for the first time at Easter at the Valley stream house. I came to the Bellport bungalow and enjoyed her company, well before they turned that into their yearly home. And then, I remember crabbing off the dock with Terri and visiting with humans and dogs alike. It was so nice, when they lived in Bellport and I got to see them more regularly at church each Sunday. My cousin Terri was My one bridesmaid. My Grandma Larsen and she were sisters. Those 5 sisters, who I was lucky enough to know, where powerhouse Women at a time when Women were not considered so powerhouse. Aunt Elma was a card warrior. She sent a birthday card or Holiday card that was always appreciated, even if I was poor in reciprocating. I will never forget her generosity. She is loved and will be missed. Happy and joyous days ahead in heaven Aunt Elma. You deserve it and those with you will be grateful you have joined them, even in heaven. Love and prayers for all the family, who have remained here on earth without you.
