Obituary of Gerald "Jake" Palmer

Gerald "Jake" Palmer, 82, passed away on March 19, 2022. Jake, as everyone knew him by, liked many things; Casinos, squirrel hunting, riding his John Deere mower and Playing cards. Jake was born in 1939 in Nunda NY, to Arthur and Normina Palmer. He married Sandra Hard Barnhart Palmer on 6/10/1983. He worked at Amphenol for 42 years. He is survived by his wife of 39 years Sandy. His Children Laurie Eldridge (Steven Schultz), Betsy Dean (Brian), Roger Barnhart, Brian Barnhart, Brenda Palmer (Ron Allen). His 7 Grandchildren Dustin and Thomas Eldridge, Kodye Brown, Tessa Warren, Tim Walts, Jared and Lindsay Barnhart. 5 Great Grandchildren and one on the way, and his sister, Sherry. He is also survived by his extended family Randy, Kelly, Taylor, Megan and Thomas Palmatier. He was predeceased by his sisters Wanda (Kurp) Perry and Sandy (Jim) Washburn. After retirement Jake could be found very early in the morning at Bob's Diner for coffee with his cronies or playing cards at one of his friends houses or at home. Graveside services for Jake will be held at 10:00am on Saturday, May 21st in Greenlawn Cemetery, Bainbridge.
