Obituary of Debra Ann Tranvaag

Please share a memory of Debra to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Debra (Emerson) Tranvaag was born to Charles and Evelyn (Johnston) Emerson on March 28, 1955. On March 7, 2022, she found eternal peace at her home in Bainbridge, New York. Lovingly remembered for her selfless spirit and quiet strength, Debbie is preceded in death as Granddaughter to Maynard and Edna Emerson and Kenneth and Gladys Johnston, Daughter-in-law to Alfred and Grace Tranvaag, Aunt to Charles Emerson II, and Sister-in-law to Laurits Tranvaag, Nancy Cargill, and Dawn Tranvaag. Cherished for her enduring love of family, she is survived in life as a beloved: Daughter to Charles and Evelyn Emerson, Wife to Ola Tranvaag, Mother to Heidi Foster (Michael Klockowski), Jodi (Scott) Pavlick, Chanalle (Todd) Pecka, Stepmother to Tina Tranvaag Rapp, Grandmother to Cole, Max and Rye Pecka, and Reagan Pavlick, Sister to Bob (Cynthia) Emerson, Joanie (Randy) Thomas, Sheri (Michael) Kinsella, Sister-in-law to Theodore Tranvaag, Daniel (Mary) Tranvaag, Aunt to adored nieces and nephews. Offset by her shy demeanor, Debbie wore a vibrant smile that immediately warmed any privileged space. Blessed with this photogenic smile, often provoked by her sneaky sense of humor, she managed to avoid the family paparazzi. Home and family were sacred. Effortlessly, she found happiness by giving happiness, ensuring every celebration was personalized and unique. She was the ultimate gift artist, creatively scouring the earth for the perfect treasure. She was sentimental; she was thoughtful; she was noble; she was the perfect treasure. The family extends warm appreciation to the staff at Lourdes Hospital and Hospice and Palliative Care of Chenango County for the comfort provided by Malisa and Jennie. Private services will be held by the family. In remembrance and lieu of flowers, consider contributions to Hospice and Palliative Care of Chenango County or a local shelter in honor of Debbie's compassion for animals. Share condolences and memories online at www.landersfh.com. Arrangements are under the direction of C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel, Sidney.
