Irene Myrtle Lattenhauer, 86 of Guilford, passed away late Thursday evening, September 2, 2010 at A.O. Fox Nursing Home in Oneonta. Irene was born on September 30, 1923 in Liverpool, NY. She was the daughter of the late Floyd and Levina (Gridley) Waite. On October 21, 1943, she married Edward P. Lattenhauer. He predeceased her on May 16, 2008 after 64 years of marriage. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Afton.
Irene is survived by 8 children, 20 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, Irene was predeceased by her sister, Mabel, and her brother, Floyd.
Friends may call on Friday, September 10, 2010 from 11:00am-1:00pm at C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel, 21 Main St. Sidney, NY 13838. Funeral services will follow at 1:00pm. Burial will follow in Yaleville Cemetery, Guilford. Memorial contributions in Irene's name may be directed to the Guilford Emergency Squad. Expressions of sympathy may be sent to the family online at www.landersfh.com.
