Obituary of Clemmie Lee Cooper
Please share a memory of Clemmie to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
On October 17th, 1953, Clemmie Lee Cooper was born to Willie Cooper and Minnie Cooper in Greenwood, Mississippi. He served in the Army for 4 years and worked for the Federal Bureau of Prisons for over 20 years. He departed us of natural causes on January 15th, 2022. He was a proud father, husband, brother, and grandparent and was loved, and appreciated by all.
He is survived by his loving wife, Cherry Ann Cooper whom he was married to for 45 years, Son Reginald Sanders, 3 daughters, Demetria Williams (Leroy Williams), Jocelyn Cooper (Ernesto Montero) and Cheryll Cooper; 6 grandkids: Alexis Williams, Chante Williams, Estrella Montero, David Williams, Elijah Montero and Dalilah Montero. He was known as "Peepaw" by his grandkids and they all loved and laughed with him. From the good times of helping on the farm, to playing in the pool and riding bikes, Peepaw always made sure you had a good time when you came to the farm. Clemmie Lee Cooper was a phenomenal man and his tough love and support made anyone he touched stronger. He may no longer be with us physically but everything we do, see, or hear we know that our "Peepaw", "Clem"," Father", "Dad", "Brother" and "Friend", will be with us in spirit.
