Ford F. Walley Afton, NY Ford F. Walley 92 formerly of Afton and Franklin passed away Saturday, August 21, 2010 at the Gilmour Health Care Facility in Norwich. He was born December 19, 1917, son of the late Frank and Golden (Emerson) Walley in Rock Royal, NY. Ford married Veda Backus on June 21, 1939 in Rock Royal; she predeceased him on January 19, 2003. Ford was a farmer most of his life, and he worked for the Amphenol Corp. in Sidney, retiring in 1982. He enjoyed hunting and snowmobiling and was a long time member of the Franklin United Methodist Church. He is survived by: 3 Sons - Francis Walley and his wife Barbara, Franklin Ford Walley and his Ann, Deposit Richard Walley Daughter-in-law - Frances Walley, Chenango Bridge Sister - Helen Mayo, Sidney Center 9 Grandchildren - Roger and Nita Walley, James Walley, Stephen Walley, Mary and Rodney Earl, Michael and Victoria Walley, Lynn Walley, Ryan Walley, Derek Walley 11 Great Grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins He was also predeceased by son, Clayton, grandson Robert and 3 brothers, Frank, Guerdon and Harland Friends may call Tuesday, August 24, 2010 from 5-8 PM at C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel 21 Main St. Sidney. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, August 25, 2010 at 11:00 AM at the funeral chapel Burial will follow in Glenwood Cemetery in Afton. Memorial contributions may be made to the Franklin United Methodist Church 450 Main St. Franklin, NY 13775 or to the Gilmour Health Care Facility Patient Fund 88 Calvary Drive Norwich, NY 13815 Condolences may be sent online to www.landersfh.com Arrangements by C.H.
