Obituary of Joseph Johnson

Joseph Johnson passed away while at A.O. Fox Hospital in Oneonta NY, and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Joe was born on January 3rd, 1952 in Elmira, New York and was 69 years old. He was predeceased by his father, Joseph Johnson Sr., and is survived by his mother, Betty Johnson Kennedy, his step-father John Kennedy, his brothers, Charles, James, Samuel, and John, and his sisters, Margaret, Betty-Marie, and Susan. He is also survived by his many cousins. Joe resided at Springbrook's Johnston Circle Community Home in Sidney, New York. Prior to moving to Springbrook, Joe previously resided at the Broome Developmental Center in Binghamton, New York. He lived happily at the Johnston Circle Community Home, where he enjoyed walking, exploring, listening and dancing to music. Joe especially loved listening and dancing to Elvis Pressley and Conway Twitty. Joe developed many special relationships with all of his friends at Springbrook, and had a very special relationship with his long-time caretaker and friend, Ralph Gschwind who spent the last 8 years with him.
