Obituary of Dion Teehan

Dion Teehan 1965-2021 On Monday, November 22, 2021, Dion passed away unexpectedly at his home. Dion was born on January 28, 1965, the son of Thomas and Rita Teehan of Mount Upton. Dion was a lifelong resident of Mount Upton. Dion was a contractor by trade most of his life, owning his own business, Teehan Construction. He lived his life to the fullest and always on his own terms. His passions included camping, cooking, NASCAR and the NY Giants. He loved spending time with his friends, and he loved to cook for family and friends, especially on holidays. He is survived by his parents, Thomas and Rita Teehan; daughters: Cassandra and Robert Vitek, and Crista Hartwell; son, Christopher Teehan; sister, Deana (Dee) and Jeffrey DuFour; grandchildren: Alec Hartwell, Alivia Vitek and Sadia Seneck; niece, Danielle DuFour; nephew, Lee DuFour; and many friends, especially Tonja French, T.J. Turner and Richard Heacox. Dion was predeceased by his longtime partner Barbara Finch in 2018. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00pm on Friday, November 26, 2021 at C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel, 21 Main St. Sidney, NY 13838. Friends and family are asked to dress casual-don't hesitate to sport your Giants or NASCAR gear. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to the Guilford Emergency Squad. Burial will take place at a later date in Godfrey Cemetery, Guilford.
