Obituary of Donna Jean Decker

UNADILLA—Mrs. Donna J. Decker lost her battle with cancer and passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, October 30, 2021. She was born one of seven on October 31, 1954 in Sidney, NY, the daughter of Graydon Ryan and Connie (Ryan) Leizear. She married Donald Decker on January 30, 1988 at the Friends Church in Unadilla, NY. He predeceased her in August 2019. Donna had a passion for crafting and especially loved making diamond paintings for family and friends. She also enjoyed playing cards and Yahtzee. In the summer, Donna enjoyed going to lawn sales. Donna is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Christine and Patrick Smith of Laurens; a son, Brian Decker and his fiancée Cassandra Davis of Unadilla; and a son, Mike Tooley of Pennsylvania; her mom and step-father, Connie and Duke Leizear of Unadilla; a sister and brother-in-law, Doreen and John Kerekes of Unadilla; her twin brother and sister-in-law, Donald and Cathy Ryan of Kingston; her brother and sister-in-law, Graydon and Cindy Ryan of Unadilla; her brother, Jerry Ryan of Unadilla; and her brother and sister-in-law, Dennis and Norma Ryan of Florida. Donna is also survived by her three grandchildren: Jacob Tooley, Amber Brown and Johnathan Brown, all of Oneonta, as well as three great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Donna was predeceased by her father, Graydon Ryan and her sister, Vicki Markle.
