Obituary of Marie Joyce Hamilton

Marie Joyce Hamilton of Oxford went to be with her Lord on Monday, September 27, 2021. She was born October 17, 1943 to Frank D. and Beatrice May Hackett Williams in Greene. Marie retired from the NYS Veterans Home after 26 years. She loved going to casinos, shopping, traveling and eating at Hoppie's in Oxford; it was one of her favorite places and she loved the people there. She married Eugene Hamilton of Greene on October 24, 1959 and together they had four children, Joyce (Hamilton) Tanner, Connie (Hamilton) Lanfair, William Hamilton and Lisa (Hamilton) Rosh who survive her along with eight grandchildren; Amy, Wendy, Bill, Todd, Christina, Robin, Tasha and Zachary and ten great grandchildren; Alexis, Landon, Brayden, Brent, Micah, Autumn, Finley, Graham, Axel and Caius. Marie is also survived by her brothers, Ernest and Gerald (Eleanor) Williams and sisters, Doris Bush, Linda (John) Covell and Kathy (Danny) Frayer. She also had many nieces and nephews. Marie was predeceased by both parents along with her brothers, Frank Jr., Robert, Curtis, Donald and Douglas and sister, Mary. Graveside services will be private and at the convenience of the family in Riverview Cemetery in Oxford.
