Obituary of Roberta Ives Nickerson

Roberta Ives Nickerson, 92 of Afton passed away Wednesday August 25, 2021 She was predeceased by her husband, Edward Arthur Nickerson and son Steven Nickerson. Roberta is survived by her daughter, Stacy Nickerson, Binghamton, Son, Gary Ives (Geraldine) South Carolina Daughter-in-law – Janice Nickerson, Afton Grandson, Mark Ives (Kelly) South Carolina, Granddaughter, Christina Humphrey (James) North Carolina and Marci Germond-Howard (Jim) Bainbridge And four great grandchildren, one great, great grandchild, several nieces, nephews and cousins. Roberta was retired from Amphenol in Sidney after working there for 25 years. She also owned and operated a tea room in her home called the Enchanted Tea Pot for 10 years. She loved all holidays and decorated her house accordingly. Her favorite holiday was Christmas and each year she decorated every room in her home with a different Christmas tree. Her hobbies included arts, crafts and sewing. In previous years she participated in the sidewalk days in Afton to display her crafts. Roberta maintained and cherished many long- time friendships during her lifetime Thank you to all who reached out to her while she was in assisted living.
