Obituary of Patrick Edward Kiernan

Patrick Kiernan, 72, of Bainbridge passed away peaceful at his home on March 31st with his family by his side. Patrick was born November 2nd 1948 in Honolulu Hawaii to the late Edward and Shirley (Labrie) Kiernan. In 1967 Patrick joined the United States Marine Corp and served a two year service tour in Vietnam. He resided in California until 2003 when he relocated to New York to be with his new wife, Deborah Kiernan. Patrick enjoyed landscaping around his home, tinkering in his overstocked garage, watching NFL football (especially his Raiders) and Nascar racing, tending to his beloved chickens, and spending time with his granddaughter. His family will miss hearing "come here and give grandpa his hug"! Patrick is survived by his wife, Deborah Kiernan, his step daughter, Alicia Miller, his niece Tina, his three granddaughters, Cecily, Xiana and Evangeline Miller. He was predeceased by his parents, Edward and Shirley Kiernan, and his sister, Barbara Stevens. At Patrick's request there will be no formal services. The family has requested that in lieu of flowers donations be made to The Hospice of Chenango County (33-39 Court Street Norwich NY). The family would like to express many thanks to Pat's care team at Chenango County Hospice, especially his amazing nurse Jenny for their wonderful care of Patrick in his final days.
