Obituary of Carolyn L. Zytka

Carolyn L. Zytka MASONVILLE—Carolyn L. Zytka, 81, passed away suddenly on Saturday, March 27, 2021 at A.O. Fox Hospital in Oneonta. She was born on June 4, 1939, daughter of the late Victor H. Fisher, Sr. and Elma (Lauffer) Fisher in the Bronx. On July 11, 1959, she was married to Ferdinand K. Zytka at the First Presbyterian Church in Mineola, NY, sharing 61 years of life and love. In 1991, they permanently relocated upstate. She retired as the Office Manager for Oquaga Creek State Park. Carolyn enjoyed an array of activities that changed throughout her life. She was a loving wife and mother and doting grandmother, who especially enjoyed cooking for her family. In addition to her beloved husband, Carolyn is survived by two sons, William Zytka and Kurt and Susan Zytka; grandson, Jake Zytka and granddaughter, Grace Zytka; brother and sister-in-law, Victor Jr. and Diane Fisher; sister, Barbara Campo, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her cherished grandson, Lance Zytka. Friends are invited to call from 5:00-7:00pm on Tuesday, March 30, 2021 at C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel, 21 Main St. Sidney, NY 13838. Graveside services will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday, March 31st in the Masonville Cemetery, Masonville.
