Obituary of James E. Jacobs

James E. Jacobs, AKA Jakes or backpack Jake, 65 of Sidney passed away in his sleep at home on March 22, 2021. He was born March 13, 1956 son of the late Emerson and Beatrice (Buchert) Jacobs in Sidney. Jim graduated from Sidney High School with the Class 1975 and worked for the Amphenol Corp in Sidney. He was a member of the Sidney Center Fire Dept. Jim was a horseman. He loved riding and working with horses, especially Red. He also enjoyed playing chess, liar's poker and telling his crazy life stories. James is survived by: His Sisters, Judy Cordes, Margaret "Halpin and SuSan Storrer. His children, Jeanette Jackson and Jeremy Jacobs Grandchildren, Kerenna Jacobs, Nathan Jackson, Katelyn Jackson, Fabiana Nicolas His nieces, Sandy Vaughan, Beth Ulatowski, Amber Cordes, Rickie Galeotti, Karen Bertram, Amy Thomas, Sara Storrer, Rachel Smith and nephew Nick Jacobs. James was also predeceased by his brother, William Jacobs Friends may call April 7, 2021 from 11:00 am to 1:00 PM at C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel 21 Main St. Sidney. Funeral services will be private and burial will be in Highland Cemetery in Sidney Center.
