Obituary of Ethel A. Papastrat

Ethel A. Papastrat Sidney, NY Ethel Anagnost Papastrat, 89, of Sidney passed away Sunday, July 25, 2010 at A.O. Fox Hospital in Oneonta. She was born April 23, 1921, daughter of the late Theodore J. and Nora (Atkins) Anagnost in Patterson, NJ and resided in Sidney since 1922. Ethel married George Papastrat on June 9, 1946 at the Holy Trinity Church in Binghamton. She was a longtime member of the Holy Trinity Church in Binghamton as well as a senior member of the Charles L. Jacobi Post #183 Auxiliary in Sidney. Ethel is survived by: Husband - George Papastrat, Sidney Son and daughter-in-law - Harry and Gloria Papastrat, Sidney 3 Grandsons - George and Elyse Papastrat, Wheeling, IL Alexander G. Papastrat, Rochester, NY Anthony J. Papastrat, Sidney 1 Great Granddaughter - Anastacia Sophia Papastrat Ethel was also predeceased by 3 Children. Friends may call Saturday, July 31, 2010 from 12 Noon to 2:00 PM at C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel 21 Main St. Sidney. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 PM in the funeral chapel. Fr. Michael Bahlatis of the Annunciation Church in Vestal will officiate. Burial will follow in Prospect Hill Cemetery in Sidney.
