Obituary of Catherine D. Davis

Catherine Darlene Davis (Simpson) 04/16/1942-03/12/2021 Catherine, "Cathy", passed away on March 12th, 2021 in Sidney, NY after a courageous battle with cancer. Born and raised in the Albany area, she later settled in Colonie to raise her three children with her late first husband, John William Simpson. She later met her second husband Phillip Davis, and they eventually retired to Florida for many years, until Phillip's passing. She then moved back to NY to be close to family. Catherine was a beautiful woman, in every sense of the word, who lived life to the fullest, and she loved everyone she encountered. Catherine was a devout Catholic, an animal lover, she enjoyed collecting movies, gardening, shopping, cooking, reading, and solving word puzzles. Most of all, Catherine loved spending time with her beloved family and pets. Catherine was predeceased by her brothers: Joe Johnson, Thomas Beatty, Fred Beatty, and Gregory Beatty. She is survived by her two sisters: Virginia Stracher and Dawn Ingalls (Steve). She is survived by her three children: Ronson Simpson, Michelle Simpson of Sidney NY, and Helena Lauzon (Simpson) of Rotterdam NY (Richard Villano). She is survived by her cherished grandchildren: William Gannon, Jonathon Shackelton, Kaitlyn Michaud (Zachary), and Peter Lauzon. Her great grandchildren: Shaleigh Goulet and Jada Gannon. She is also survived by several step-children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren whom she shared with Phillip, that she loved and adored. There will be no calling hours at this time. Interment will be at Memory Gardens at a later date set by the family.
