Obituary of Sandra B. Burdick

Sandra (Sandy) B. Burdick, 80, of Sidney, passed away peacefully at her home on February 15th, 2021.
Sandy was born on November 11, 1940 to the late Bernard and Anita Bryden. Sandy graduated from Sidney High School in 1959, and attended Beauty School in Binghamton, NY and went on to become an established hairdresser in Sidney for several years. In July 1962, she married William (Bill) Burdick, and settled in Sidney, NY to raise their children. Sandy also was a long-time employee and retired from Amphenol Corporation.
Sandy was an extremely caring person and loved unconditionally, who enjoyed spending time with her family. Sandy was an accomplished and talented person that took pride in her home and her deep love of her family. She enjoyed spending time through her years golfing. She was always active, and had many talents including being an avid golfer, hairdresser, and cook. She also enjoyed painting, craft/wood-making, knitting, crocheting and spending time doing home projects, all with her own sense of flair, finesse, and perfection.
Sandy is survived by her 3 children: Barbara and Michael Freyer; Mark Burdick; Cheryl and Tracy Simonds; grandchildren: Chariese (Freyer) and Chris Medlar, Matthew Freyer (so: Natasha Gould), Kyle Burdick, Ryan Burdick and Erin Burdick (so: Bryan Lee); as well as 10 combined Great grandchildren, who she loved and adored. She is also survived by her siblings, Eloise & Richard Morley, Sharon (Bryden) Pratt, Tracy and Debbie Bryden, Tami Bryden, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Bernard and Anita Bryden, Sandy was also predeceased by her Husband, William (Bill) H. Burdick, and Brother Richard (Dick) Bryden.
Private services will be held at C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel, Sidney. Graveside services will be held on Monday, May 10th at 12:00noon in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Sidney. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to American Heart Association or Delaware Valley Humane Society.
