Tammy Rae Palmetier, age 57 of Afton, NY passed away on Sunday, February 14th, after a brave and courageous battle with Cancer. Tammy was born on February 23rd,1963 to Ray (Bucky) Kane and Joanne (Cady) Kinney, with whom her father Ray, predeceased her.
Tammy, a lifelong resident of Afton, held many talents/professions in the area, from Volunteer EMT, small business owner (Razmataz, Serenity Escape, Tammy Rae Palmetier Real Estate and Guardian Property Management), Afton Central School as an aide, and her charity work as a co-founder and contributor to the Cancer reach out program known as "Pink Faith". Tammy could always be found in the local area from pee-wee and little league sports through High School sporting events, spanning the tenure of her children in the Afton Central School district. Tammy was well known for her successful and highly regarded business as a realtor and property manager with her company, Guardian Property Management.
Outside of her busy lifestyle, Tammy enjoyed her pets, who were always waiting for her return home, camping with her motorhome, fishing, spending time with her family at the lake and her family's river camp, making memories with clients, friends, colleagues, and customers alike. Tammy could always find a good deal at the local garage sales and spent a good bit of time with her mother Joanne, thrift shopping. Tammy had many talents, and if you were lucky enough to know her, she held a passion for helping others. Her impact on the lives of those in need, could never be disregarded.
Tammy is survived by her Husband, George; children, Rob (Jeanne) Bunzey of Jennings Florida, William Bunzey of Afton, Joseph Bunzey of Afton, George Palmetier of Afton; 9 grandchildren; Colin, Caelyn, Cady, Weston, Cora, Jace, Calliope, Corbin and Cowen. She is also survived by her mother and stepfather, Joanne (Sheldon) Kinney; a sister and brother-in-law; Michelle "Ginger" (David) Dascano; and her nieces and nephew, great nephews and great niece. She will also be greatly missed by her constant puppy companions, Rufus, Buck, Princess and her parrot Mambo.
Friends and family are invited to call at C.H. Landers Funeral Home, 21 Main St. Sidney, NY on Friday, February 19th from 5-8pm. It is requested by the family to please adhere to all local and state Covid-19 protocols. Funeral services for the family will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to the following charity, in which was important to Tammy: Delaware Valley Humane Society, PO Box 182, Sidney, NY 13838.
