Rev. Dr. Chester N. Shew January 7, 1937-February 3, 2021 Rev. Dr. Chester N. Shew has gone to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ after a brief illness. Born in Binghamton, raised in North Sanford, graduated from Deposit Central School, Practical Bible Training School and Dallas Theological Seminary. Chester was an avid reader having read thousands of books over his lifetime. He knew something about everything! He was a Bible Scholar and teacher. To his grandchildren, Papa could fix anything. He was predeceased by his parents, beloved brother Gaius and sister Wilma. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Kathleen. Together they served the Lord in Fleischmanns, NY, Copiague, NY and Mt. Upton, NY for over 40 years. He is also survived by his daughter, Kyra (Macky) and son, Michael (Becky) and by his precious beloved grandchildren, Kyndra and Eli. After Jesus, they were life to him. He is also survived by his brothers, Allen (Bonnie) and Leo (Linda) as well as several nieces and nephews, and his beloved faithful congregation of Mt. Upton First Baptist Church. At his request, there will be no funeral or committal service. A service of remembrance will be held at his church at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please donate to a charity of choice or Mt.
