Bette M. Decker passed away January 12, 2021. She was predeceased by her husband Charles Decker, Sr. and her son Dr. Gary Decker. She is survived by her children, Charles Decker, Jr. (Dorothy), and Lucinda Corbett (Donald); grandchildren: Melissa Thomas Truman (Kevin), Aaron Thomas (Cassie), Nikole Thomas Cappello (Chris), Charles "Sam" Decker, III (Eleni), Stephanie Decker Bolinger (Mike) and Katie Decker Goodrich (Bryan). She was blessed with many great grandchildren: Austin, Loganne, Gavin, Brayden, Talyn, Emmy, Charlie, Carson, Philip, Ella, Corbin, Harper, Hadley, Taylor (Evan), Chelsea, Dylan, Hunter, Devin, Aden, Azlynn, Naomi, Judith, Abel, Jack and Brett. Bette resided in Afton, NY for many years and worked at the Afton Central School Library. Bette was matriarch to five generations of family. She loved her family, her cats and nature. She enjoyed spending hours watching birds and deer in her backyard. She was "A Card Sender" sending cards to family and friends filled with love and well-wishes. She was an amazing painter, artist, interior decorator, and writer. Bette's final resting place is at the Glenwood Cemetery where she joins many beloved family members. A private family memorial will be held in the Spring. Gifts or donations in her memory can be made to the Delaware Valley Humane Society, Sidney, NY where she volunteered many hours.
