Margaret N. Miller Afton, NY Margaret N. Miller, 96 of Afton, and formerly of Los Osos, CA, passed away peacefully on Sunday morning, July 4, 2010 at Wilson Regional Medical Center, Johnson City, NY. Margaret was born on March 12, 1914, daughter of the late John and Emily (Rutledge) Neal in Los Angeles, CA. In 1937, she married Harry K. Miller in Los Angeles. Harry predeceased her on October 5, 2003. Margaret taught piano lessons out of her home for several years. She enjoyed gardening, hiking and camping, and taking care of her chickens and the cats she would rescue. Margaret also began taking ballet lessons at the age of 60, and danced in recitals until she was 85. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Margaret is survived by: Her four children: Harriett "Terry" and Ron Bogert Afton Karin Eggleston Bainbridge Diane and Wayne Kaspar Atascadero, CA Keith and Dominique Miller Afton 9 grandchildren: Laurie Smalley, JR Bogert, Leslie Cunningham, Melissa Tanner, Jonathan Bogert, Diana Bogert, Dale Bogert, Jennifer Bryant and Michael Young 13 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren Her sister, Louise Mackey Whittier, CA As well as several nieces and nephews In addition to her husband, Margaret was predeceased by her grandson, Glenn Bogert, and a sister, Doris White. Friends are invited to call from 6:00-8:00pm on Wednesday, July 7, 2010 at C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel, 21 Main St. Sidney, NY 13838. A graveside service will be held at 10:00am on Thursday, July 8, 2010 at Greenlawn Cemetery, Bainbridge. Expressions of sympathy may be sent to the family online at www.landersfh.com.
