Marie L. Searles, 93 of Bainbridge passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Monday, October 19, 2020 at her home.
She was born September 6, 1927, daughter of the late Ludwig and Dorothy (Shaver) Michel in Bainbridge.
Marie married Edward Searles; together they raised 10 children and ran the family dairy farm which has been in the Searles family for 7 generations.
Ed predeceased her on March 27, 2011 after 65 years of marriage.
She enjoyed reading, crocheting and knitting and loved Elvis.
Marie is survived by:
5 Sons – Richard, Gary, John (Petra), Terry (Brenda) and Jimmy (Rose)
4 Daughters – Pat (Bob) Tallmadge, Barb (Doug) Labelle, Ruth and Bert Roof, Shirley (Roger) Butler
As well as 1 Brother, 5 Sisters and several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great, great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She was also predeceased by son Edward Jr., 3 grandchildren, 1 brother and 1 sister.
Graveside services will be private in Greenlawn Cemetery in Bainbridge

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Chenango Co. 21 Hayes Street Norwich, NY 13815
Arrangements are under the direction of C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel 21 Main St. Sidney.
