Obituary of Louis M. Lembo

Louis M. Lembo, 88, of Sidney, passed away on Friday, June 12, 2020 at Bridgewater Nursing Home in Binghamton. Lou was born on January 8, 1932 in Brooklyn, NY, son of Angelo and Carmella (Filippone) Lembo. On August 15, 1954, he was married to Ethel Presley at Blessed Sacrament Church in Valley Stream. In 1967, the family moved upstate from Long Island and have resided in the area ever since. Lou was a gifted furniture builder and carpet installer for 50 years. He and Ethel enjoyed trips to Florida and Disney, even after their children were grown. He is survived by: his loving wife of nearly 66 years, Ethel Lembo; five children: Gregory and Teresa Lembo, Stephanie Lembo, Cynthia and Robert Hurlburt, Suzanne and Thomas Whitney and David and Beth Lembo; 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Louis was predeceased by his parents, Angelo and Carmella Lembo, and his sister, Phyllis Miale. Private graveside services will be held in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Sidney.
