Obituary of Beatrice Irene Green

Beatrice Irene Green Sidney, New York Beatrice Irene Green 88 of Sidney, New York passed away unexpectedly Monday morning June 14, 2010 at Binghamton General Hospital, Binghamton, N.Y. She was born May 15, 1922 in Norwich, N.Y. the daughter of the late Leo and Beulah Reynolds Cook. Bea graduated from the Norwich High School, Norwich, N.Y. On December 15, 1940 she married Richard A. Green in Norwich, New York. He predeceased her June 29, 2001. Bea was a devoted mother and grandmother. For many years, Bea was an avid bowler in the Tri-Town Area. She was also known for her cake decorating business done for many years from her home. After retirement Dick and Bea wintered in Zephyrhills, Florida She was a longtime member of the Sidney United Methodist Church. Bea was a former member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Sidney Chapter 2175 BPOE and of Sidney Lodge #277 OES. She is survived by: 3 daughters Nancy Baldwin of Binghamton, N.Y. Linda Pattillo and her husband William of St. Augustine, Florida Donna Wagner and her husband John of Sidney, N.Y. Sister Julia Barnes of Norwich, N.Y. She is also survived by her 10 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Beside her husband she was predeceased by a grandson Bruce Greenman, sister Marion Williams and brother Leland Cook. The family would like to thank Helen and her staff on 2 A for the Tender Loving Care given to their mother. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday June 18, 2010 from the C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel 21 Main Street, Sidney, N.Y. Burial will be private in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Norwich, N.Y.
