Obituary of Ralph Duane Hawley
Please share a memory of Ralph to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Ralph (Jake) D. Hawley, 61, of Sidney passed away suddenly at A.O. Fox Hospital in Oneonta, after a hard fought battle with cancer.
Jake was born in Norwich, and graduated from Afton High School. After graduating he went on to work at Keith Clark (currently known as Acco Brands) and remained an employee there until his retirement in the fall of 2019.
Along with being a well known and avid Dallas Cowboys fan, Jake enjoyed watching many other sports live and on television including basketball, baseball, and Nascar racing. He loved being outdoors and spent many of his days 4wheeling, snowmobiling, golfing, fishing, and at day parks. He also loved just relaxing in the back yard with a fire gathered by friends and family.
Jake is survived by his daughter Amber Hawley (Dan Charles), Grandson Colton Charles, Sister Pat Benton and Nephews Travis Hawley and Trevor Hawley.
Jake was predeceased by his Mother Marilyn Snow, Father, Ralph Hawley, and half Brother Gary Stuckey.
A celebration of life is being planned and will be held at a later time.
